Barlinek Floorboard is a glue-free engineered floor that comes from a top European manufacturer specializing in traditional and exotic hardwoods. Started in 1946, the company quickly became highly regarded for its exquisite quality and long line of engineered flooring. However, a main attraction of the Barlinek engineered flooring was its glue-free method of installation. The fact that Barlinek engineered floors are hypoallergenic and come with a 25 year warranty certainly enhances their desirability.
Barlinek engineered floors are made of unmodified natural hardwood. Their quality and uniqueness was created by engineers finding the perfect formula that took into consideration only high standards for durability, thickness, varnish and resistance, and combining the formula with a special technology to create an engineered layered floor. The heart of the company believed in making the floor installation process easy. Not only did they create a glueless system that allows for floating floor or hard installation, they created it for easy assembling and disassembling, allowing freedom for house renovations.
The Barlinek floors are durable and beautiful. Three layers of natural wood are permanently connected by an environmentally friendly adhesive-bonded joint. The decorative top layer is sanded down and varnished with seven layers – each hardened by ultraviolet rays. Acrylic putty, acrylic priming paint and ecological acrylic varnish is used.
The Inside of a Barlinek Floor:
1. There are two coats of a quality acrylic lacquer that are then hardened with ultraviolet rays.
2. Three coats of acrylic lacquer is applied and hardened with ultraviolet rays.
3. Acrylic grout is hardened with ultraviolet rays.
4. The sealing coat is then hardened with ultraviolet rays.
5. The facing coat is 9/64” (or 3.5mm) thick. Can be beech, oak, great maple, ask, pine, birch or exotic timber.
6. The middle cross layer is wood of coniferous trees, and is 5/16” (or 8mm).
7. The lower layer is also made from wood of a coniferous tree, and is 9/64” (or 3.5mm)
